Typical Cappadocia Blue Tour Itinerary
Cappadocia Blue Tour is a full-day guided tour that takes visitors to some of the lesser-known sights of Cappadocia. Typical tours mostly start early in the morning upon you’re being picked-up from your hotel around 9 a.m. with a professional tour guide, and goes for about 6/7 hours, lasts until 5 pm. At the end of the tour, you’re being dropped-off to your hotel.
The tour covers the central and southern parts of Cappadocia, including the towns of Soganli, Sahinefendi, and Mustafapasa. The tour also includes stops at some of the area’s most impressive valleys, including the Gomeda Valley or the Soysallar Valley.
Mustafapasa is a charming village located in the Cappadocia region of Turkey, about 5 km southeast of Ürgüp. The village is also known as Sinasos, its former Greek name, and has a rich history dating back to the Byzantine period.
Mustafapaşa was once a major center of Greek culture in the area, and its historic houses, churches, and other buildings reflect its Greek heritage. The village is home to many beautiful examples of Greek Ottoman architecture, including several large mansions and churches with frescoes and intricate stonework.
One of the most famous buildings in Mustafapaşa is the Medrese, a former theological school dating back to the 19th century. The building features a beautiful courtyard and many well-preserved rooms, including a mosque and a library.
Mustafapaşa is also known for its underground tunnels, which were once used by locals as a means of protection from invaders. Today, visitors can explore some of these tunnels and gain a glimpse into the village’s past.
In addition to its historical attractions, Mustafapaşa is also known for its natural beauty. The village is surrounded by scenic valleys and rock formations, making it an ideal place for hiking, trekking, and outdoor activities.
Gomeda Valley is located in the west of Mustafapasa village along Urgup. The valley is known as “Small Ihlara”. Just like in Ihlara Valley, you will experience and enjoy variety of rock-cut houses and churches, shelters and a river running through the valley. Gomeda Valley is also called the “Devil’s Creek”, due to its pleasant trails with hollows, tunnels and dovecotes.
The 1,5 km hiking trail of the Gomeda Valley offers a different atmosphere for its guests. One of the caves has been used as a reservoir for rain water since ancient times, and it continues to be used to irrigate poplar trees, which can be seen frequently while walking.
Mazi Underground City has 2 levels underground carved from the soft volcanic stone that are connected with each other by narrow tunnels.
Visitors may visit stalls, stables, stores, refectories, churches, wineries, kitchens and the other sections.
